THE CHARITIES I SUPPORT
Giving Back
Giving Back is so important to me. My traveling taught me that I am very lucky to have all that I have and the opportunities I’ve been given.
I have supported Acacia Family Support through my running and also held classes in their centres to help new mums. Acacia is a Birmingham based charity providing support to families struggling with anxiety and depression.
Currently, I’m fundraising for Woodland House – there are more details of this below.
I hold regular donation sessions at our meetups and also contribute monthly to support communities in Malawi through the charity Love Support Unite. I also offer bursary places in my Circles and on my Circle Guide Programme.
I am accepted as a volunteer at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. I spend time on the neonatal ward with families and their tiny babies helping them to heal by sharing the loving touch of baby massage.
Woodland House
Birmingham Women’s Hospital hospital cares for over 2,000 grieving mums and dads every year who may have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death.
Every loss is a devastating and uniquely personal experience, but at the moment the space in which the expert bereavement midwives have to hold heartbreaking conversations doesn’t reflect the significance of each family’s loss.
News is delivered in cramped quiet rooms, often on the maternity ward or in busy outpatient areas, and our patients repeatedly speak of feeling rushed and of having nowhere to go after receiving devastating news. Woodland House will change this.

Sadly for some families not all pregnancies have a happy ending.
I’ve seen the devastation that losing a baby causes and how much those families need a space that gives them all the support they need.
I have already completed the New York and Chicago Marathons. My aim is to run Berlin in September 2021 and Tokyo in March 2022.
All money I raise will go to Woodland House. I’m also organising other events in between and persuading you to part with your cash in any way that I can! I’m open to all fundraising suggestions.
Thank you so much for supporting me.

Just Giving
I know that most of you reading this page will have been blessed with a healthy baby or babies. Most of my mums are but not all. I have seen how heart-breaking the loss of a baby is.
Blossom mums support each other; through the happy and the very sad. We work together as a team by being there for each other and helping in whatever way we can. That goes for the mums and their families who suffer perhaps the greatest loss.
That’s why I’m fundraising to help Birmingham Women’s Hospital build Woodland House. It’s so important. Parent’s trying to cope with the devastating loss of a baby need a dedicated and thoughtfully designed space where they can go to grieve and be supported. You too can play an important part in helping to build this amazing new centre.
I’m inviting you all to join me at our various special fundraising events and to follow and share our updates and, if you are able to, to make a donation on our Just Giving page.
